Politics, Republicans, George W. Bush and the World Peace Keepers
My wife and and I are probably one of the few couples that are actually from different parties. hehe. I’m registered democrat and she’s registered Republican. She loves George W. and the “great things he’s done for our country.” I think he’s a rich kid from a rich family that because his dad was president he gets to be president. He has no experience, or has held no position besides govenor of texas which of course he once again had because his dad was a president as well. So like I said. He’s not my favorite. But my wife would say he’s done a good job for America and we should consider the people in Iraq and the things we’ve done for them.
Well I can say I don’t exactly hold the same opinion. I think he’s led us into a situation where we are under prepared as well as unwanted. The people of Iraq agree that they don’t want us there. They didn’t want our help in liberating them. And they certainly don’t want us there as evidences by their killing off our troops faster then
a hooker turns tricks on a corner of Hollywood and Vine. Now I don’t think you could have predicted we would be where we are now, but you know what. We’re not complete idiots over here. We did have the Iraq commision and they did provide us a plan that involved troop removal. And they also did have a commitee that was in complete bipartisan agreement on the way forward in Iraq. And it certainly didn’t include an increase in troops without any timetable.
Bottom line. We’re making another huge mistake. We’ll be seeing more American men coming home in bodybags. And we’ve got no one else to make the decision besides our commander and chief. And here’s his thoughts. “I fully understand they could try to stop me,” Bush said of the Democrat-run Congress. “But I’ve made my decision, and we’re going forward.” With a leader like that unwilling to consider other courses of action it reminds me of my 6 year old daughter who is certain her way is the best way. Who cares that someone else has given their opinion it contradicts with her’s and she won’t hear any of it.
